The Challenge – (SEO terms – Rapid Growth, Change Management, Organisation Design)
A welcome injection of significant funding to fuel quick growth of a research and innovation hub in strong demand. An impending leadership transition. Regulatory change and compliance challenges. Rapid technology change and sector automation.
The Changify Solution
This project focused on the design of a future state organisation for a research and innovation team in a large science agency.
Over the course of two months, we developed a capability framework, groupings, structure and role design of the future state organisation in line with their guidelines.
We also advised on the options and structure plan to transition employees to the future organisational design, and re-engagement of the organisation.
Collaboration with the team was fundamental to the outcome:
Our solution entailed:
- Facilitating ‘Voice of the Customer’ interviews and data gathering
- Conducting weekly workshop sessions focused on Vision, Best Practice and Idea Generation, Co-Design, Options Analysis and Options Discussion for 22 members of the team
- Designing and running workshops to gather input and establish team buy-in that guided the process for rolling out the redesign with confidence and clarity
The Outcome
Leaders were engaged to design a future state organisation that met the needs of people within it, increasing buy-in to the change process.
We were able to give our client partner tailored and discrete process steps to facilitate the design, selection, and transition processes within their function.
